Garlic Steak Bites

This dish is full of flavour and takes literally minutes to cook. You can replace the steak with Chicken or Quorn of the same weight and this makes ONE PORTION. It's perfect on salad but of course you can serve veg with it instead.

Ingredients

  • 150 g Lean Steak
  • 50 g Sun Dried Tomatoes
  • 2 Clove Fresh Garlic
  • 0.25 Brown Onion
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Italian Herbs
  • 10 g Butter
  • Spray Oil

Instructions

  • Trim your steak of all fat and gristle and cut into cubes, around 2 cm square. Slice your onion and chop your garlic quite fine. Drain your Sun Dried Tomatoes and chop them too. Measure out your herbs and your butter.
  • Add some spray oil to your pan (around 15 sprays) and then heat for at least a minute so it is REALLY HOT, then add your onion and garlic.
  • Stir through for around a minute over a high heat until starting to colour then add another 10 sprays of oil and then your steak. Season with PLENTY of salt and Pepper.
  • Cook this (tossing regularly) until the steak is almost cooked how you like it (medium will be around 2 mins tops) then add your sun dried tomatoes and herbs.
  • Stir through for around 30 seconds and then add your butter. Quickly toss/stir that through for around 10 seconds
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

The steak needs to be a good cut of steak due to the speed it is cooked at, so sirloin works best. Trim ALL the fat off and any gristle. Rump or Stewing steak won't work very well, sorry.
