You either want this…

I have touched on this before but it’s an important point and can never be repeated enough.
Your current food habits, meal choices and routines have led you to your present situation, one where you are overweight and unhappy with how you look.
I am not saying that you make bad choices persé, indeed the food may be healthy and others may look at your diet and congratulate you, wishing they could eat as well as you, but the fact remains that what YOU are/were doing, got you to this point, and it is NOT where you want to be.
There is a saying, as I am sure you have all heard “Always do what you have always done, you will always get the results you have always got”
Well it’s true.
When you are dieting, and if you seriously want results and are prepared to change to get them, then you need to start fresh.
While it is obviously important to eat the foods you like (otherwise the diet WILL fail), you need to try new stuff, you need new routines, new food combinations. Branch out and be brave.
If you always have porridge and a yoghurt for breakfast don’t try to make the diet FIT that. While porridge and yoghurt is clearly not the unhealthiest breakfast, eating that has not made you slim, so change it, try something new. Yes Doris may have got slim eating that for breakfast, but you are not Doris, and we are all different.
If you always have rice with a curry, or pasta with a bolognese, do something different. I am not saying rice is unhealthy, but following that eating style has not made you thin so try something different, simply have veg, or a portion of beansprouts, or salad. You may think it sounds weird but how badly do you want to lose your weight?.
Don’t be set in your ways, with your traditional habits and eating style. Be adventurous, try something new. Don’t worry about foods that don’t traditionally go with other foods, just try it and see.
The biggest first month weight loss currently on the plan was achieved by a lady who ate vegetables at every meal, breakfast included. Quite often if she was busy later in the day she would have her curry/hotpot/TSP MEAL for breakfast, with veg, and then BEAST meals for later in the day.
WHO in their right mind would eat a curry for breakfast, and as if that wasn’t bad enough would THEN not have rice with it, but a load of broccoli and green veg instead?
Well it was a woman who seriously wanted to change, and subsequently lost 32lb in her first month.
Yes change is scary, but you either want this or you’re just playing.
And if you’re playing, you’ll be playing for the rest of your life.
