Consistency

I know that I have covered this loads before but honest to God, I promise, truthfully and wholeheartedly, there are only 2 elements of ANY CONCERN to a person whose goal is fat loss.

Calorie Deficit & Consistency

The calorie deficit bit is actually quite easy, I work that all out in the background for you on whichever plan you are following.

ALL you have to do is stick to them.

And therein lies the problem! The minute you are told you can’t have something, or can’t have more of something, YOU WANT IT, you actually want it more, even if it’s something you don’t normally have, you just want it more, BECAUSE you have been told you can’t.

It’s human nature, not your fault at all, it just is.

BUT there has to come a time when you realise that your lack of consistency is not getting you closer to your goals. The calories/food allowances etc are all fine (on the days you diet) but the problem is you don’t diet every day.

CONSISTENCY

Now to cover this point, no one SHOULD diet every day, life is short, memories are the only thing with you till your last breath (hopefully) and you need to make the most of time with family etc BUT if the diet days are outweighed by the non diet days, you are never going to win. And to be honest it’s lazy on your part.

Dieting is SIMPLE, all you have to do is stick to your numbers, that’s it. It doesn’t require a degree, or loads of money, or specialist kit. Simply stop eating when you have reached your target for the day.

And yes that’s hard on some days because of parties, friends, socialising, stress etc but these days have got to be the minority. If you want to reach your goal, if you want to be done with the whole “I’m Fat” rubbish then you can’t simply do this on days you can be bothered.

Not being bothered or can’t be arsed, doesn’t cut it. You can’t wing this. NO you don’t have to be super strict, you honestly don’t BUT you do have to TRY.

On days where there is NO REASON not to diet, then DIET! If it’s a normal day, no events etc THEN DIET, bank that day, earn brownie points, whatever, but don’t waste that day simply because you could not be bothered.

This way you have a buffer against the days where you don’t want to, or can’t easily, stick to your diet. But if you waste the days of opportunity you will never ever reach your goals, you will be going round in circles the rest of your life.

IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT stop playing around, take it seriously. it doesn’t mean you have to be a saint or an angel all the time, you honestly don’t, but you DO have to be a saint or an angel MOST of the time.

If you’re not you won’t win, and no amount of magic pills, fairies, workouts or foods will do it for you, ultimately it still comes down to

CALORIES (easy) and CONSISTENCY (the stop messing about bit)
